I just answered an email inquiry about my Beyond The Borders Assembly which celebrates multicultural tolerance and what I call, “cultural collaboration”… and as part of my discussion with the school in Queens, NY that is considering having me come and perform, I ended up going to YouTube to grab the link to my Together We Can Change The World song which is my big “closer” for the program.
And I found this sweet little video made by some kids at the Laurus school in Nizampet, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Yeah. UH HUH! That’s right. INDIA. How cool is that?
I thought you might like to see it. They are simply singing along with the original recording of Rilee O’Neill and the SIFGA Choir kids from Uganda but it still made me get choked up. Definitely watch until one of the kids leads in the really little ones…. That’s where I kind of “lost” it… I just guess I’m an old “softy. Here it is!
(BTW there are a bunch of other versions from the phillipines to Ukraine to the US so if you have a moment you might want to check some of them out)
You can get Karaoke tracks and sheet music as well as the original recording of the entire “Letters To Daddy” Musical at:
4E Productions
My own version is here: (but I’m’ not quite so cute as the kids around the world who sing it or do cool movements to it LOL)
Any questions? I’d love to visit YOUR school soon! Contact me here!
